Not Always Right

In line with the annual Mega Sales in Malaysia many shopping centers were full of people. It’s been hot and happening now since in early August.

Normally I am not that attracted to Mega Sales. I often go for shopping whenever I want hence I am not that desperate to go at the beginning. Particularly last week as the school holiday has just begun. There were many youngsters gathered around for shopping, chatting and food. Cinemas were full house with the recent Kung Fu film – “Long Fu Men”, I have always thought highly of Kung Fu film for its outstanding credibility. But this time I did not manage to watch the film. Mainly two reasons, one was my friends not very keen too, second there was a long queue waiting to purchase tickets. As usual Mid Valley Cinema is always flooded with people.

It amazes me what a huge crowd in the mall. All were looking for the discounted items. Some couples may seem just to hangout for dating rather than shopping. I and my friends had stepped in shop sales up to 70%. We were attracted to the price board – RM10 for 2 pieces. I would have thought this can be seen only at the night market. I was too excited choosing and quickly went to the cashier settled the bill. At the end I have paid RM20.00 instead. Guess why? Surprisingly there was another price board being put at the back - RM10.00 for a piece, which had confused everyone as they were placed at the same rows, just back to back.

Ever think was it I am blurred or was it a business trick?? Sometimes things or information stated not always right. We have to check and see thoroughly.

I think Mega Sales is a good way for business owner to clear the old stock in hand. Not all things on sale are cheap to buy or good in quality. Despite knowing this, I was going still when invited by friends, just to join and feel the HOT!!... :)
