Technology Today

As usual during the day I like to browse through every section of the newspaper before I read on the specific news or articles in detailed. I am not a person who always upkeep with the information on technology development. Just the basic-touch on the microsoft at the office, emailing and now blogging :)

But the cyberworld section had attracted my attention to read on this topic - WEB 2.0. "What is Web 2.0"? gosh....I really don't know. I have heard before few years ago where my colleagues have been talking about Web 1.0. That time I never be able to understand what they have explained to me. Unlikely now I can understand. As I read on the information, my mind keep asking oopppss...what is this mean, what is that mean?? Titles like Ajax, Tag, Creative Common, RSS, Open Source, Wiki, Mash-up, Social Network, Public Beta, Ruby-on-Rail were mentioned. All cyber and technical words were used in the sentences. It emphasis more on software stuff, I really can't figure out what it means. Perhaps David can sort this out for me.

I remembered read an article sometime last month about "Mind-Reading Computers". It was stated that scientists of British and American are developing a computer that will be able to read your thoughts by analysing facial movements. Cool...doesn't this something amazing...so whatever thoughts or underlying feelings would be able detected by the computer? In future century, what will happen to human's life? Imagine a computer that could pick the right emotional, a future where mobile phones, cars and websites could read our mind and react to our moods.

At the end, I am still blurred about "what is Web 2.0". Generally what I know in principle is probably something more advanced and sophisticated web.
